New Call-in Number for TDR Webinar

An upcoming webinar will focus on the Transfer of Development Rights (TDR) tool for protecting farmland. American Farmland Trust will join the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection for the webinar from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Nov, 13.

Please note that the call-in information for the webinar has changed. See below.

TDRs are a tool that local governments can employ to protect farmland while encouraging nonagricultural development in compatible spaces. The TDR webinar will be an opportunity to learn more about TDRs and see if it is an appropriate tool for your community.  It will feature Bob Wagner from American Farmland Trust.  Bob will offer a nationwide perspective of TDRs and discuss potential issues to consider before pursuing a program in Wisconsin. The webinar will also include guests from towns in Wisconsin who have adopted TDR programs.  They will provide details about their programs and talk about the process leading up to adopting a TDR ordinance.  Dean Schwartz from the town of West Point, Columbia County, and Dan Pearson, town of Troy, St. Croix County, will share their towns’ experiences.
